'66 blower motor paint ?

Anyone know what paint finish should be on the heater blower motor and mounting plate? I'm thiiiiinking semi-gloss but not 100% sure...since I only have a 50+ year old motor to look at. Could have been satin or gloss for all I know! Any guidence would be appreciated!
