I have this 67 and 68 air cleaner and I don't have the base plate. I need a base plate I need that will fit a 68 AVS. not sure the exact measurement but I know there are two different sizes and its the larger carb hole of the two.

Rani 67 base is for AFB (small), 68 is AVS/Holley (big).

All you need is the full size 68 bottom and cut the lip back to make it work for the unsilenced top. It looks like that was all the factory did anyhow once you see a factory one.
I don't know why but the bases are always missing. The bases are more rare then the lids which are on the top shelf with the hens teeth and duck lips.

well I have the base plate for the AFB which is the small hole because at one time I was saving this air cleaner for a 67 barracuda .....problem is that I don't have the 67 barracuda anymore and now I have a 68 barracuda (trade happened) so I need to swap the base plate out. I think the large hole plates and harder to find than the small hole ones for whatever reason.
 
Rani that air cleaner lid is for a 67 BB a body only. They may of used them in very early 68's but I'm pretty sure they were the smaller 68 round style. The 68 style is much easier to find less expensive and are repopped. You could easily trade your 67 for a mint 68. I don't know if you were aware.

That is correct they were 67's and were used in early 68. She could trade that for two mint 68-9's and shipping. $5-600 is the going rate on them.
