67 coronet 8 3/4 in A-body

I have a 68 dodge dart with a 440 and 727 in it. Will a 8 3/4 out of a 67-68 coronet fit in my dart. If so what modifications will i have to do to the rearend to make it work. I know it will have different bolt pattern, not worried about that. Is it going to be noticably longer once its in the vehicle. Any information would be a great help. Thanks

yes it can check out bigblockdart. tech. page. also the april issue of mopar muscle magazine. moving spring pads,brake hose(center one), and correct wheels.

I think the "A Body 8-3/4" I bought for my 66 was out of a Coronet. I wound up having it narrowed to fit under my Dart and buying custom axles. cost me three times what I planned to spend on a diff. I would put something else under it had I known the trouble. I hope it holds up after the $1800.00 spent on it!
