67 CUDA TO FRONT DISK QUESTIONS

Yea I know you have heard this question before. lol Changing my 67 barracuda over to front BBP disk. I got every thing new except for the upper A arm & spindles. I was going to use the original brake lines on the car but where they go onto the rubber lines they broke off. I cant find a front brake line kit for a 73 & up with disk & manual. Also not sure what master cylinder to use. Do I need to change the master cylinder push rod ? Now with everything together the brake calipers will up front. I have heard that they need to be put to the rear. Something about being in the way of the sway bar. The spindles & brakes need to be switched from left to right. When that is done what for rubber lines need to be used ? Can anyone confirm this ? Thanks
 
DoctorDiff has everything you need. There’s a “front line selector” that lets you pick all of those options- ‘67 barracuda, manual master cylinder, 73+ slider disks, and brake hoses for either the front or rear mounted position for the calipers.

Mopar Front Brake Line Selector for A/B/E Body

For a manual disk set up I prefer to use a 15/16” master cylinder, which you can also get from DoctorDiff.

Mopar Aluminum Master Cylinder Kit

If you didn’t have a manual master cylinder before you will need a new master cylinder pushrod. If you had a manual master cylinder before you can use the old pushrod. A stock one works fine, or DoctorDiff sells an adjustable one.

Mopar '62 -'70 Adjustable Master Cylinder Push Rod

If you have a sway bar, or intend to use one in the future, it will be best to have the calipers mounted to the rear. There are ways around that and it depends on what bar you run, but mounting them to the rear is the easiest. All you have to do is swap the spindles left to right, that way the bleeders on the calipers stay on top. Mounted to the rear you can use ‘69 Camaro brake hoses, or just go through the line selector I linked above and select the right option for the rear mounted calipers.

yea answered them all thank you I will give the doc a call
 
When installing 73-76 calipers, have them trail the rotors otherwise you will have problems with a sway bar hitting.

Also 1969 Camaro front disc brake hoses are the correct length to work with the calipers trailing the rotor.
