67 dart conv.

I have a letter from Chrysler Historical, where my dad asked for the 67 Dart statistics, and all they could say is there were 3729 convertibles made, no break down by trim, eng trans, etc.

There are other years where they have that statistics and you could apply those percentages.

All that being said

I would guess 4 SPD convertible is in the 300 range.

Auto and 3 SPD would be majority ( just my uneducated guess)

What engine do you have?

Does the engine and trans match the fender tag?

I know of 6 1967 Dart GTS convertibles, mostly 4-speeds, I own one and have owned another. I really wish there was a breakdown available, but there is not. Only 229 4-speed and 228 automatic Dart GTS's were made in 1967. I have owned 4 other 67 Dart convertibles, both slant and 273 all automatics.

I parted out one of those a few years back, bronze with bronze interior 273 4-bbl automatic.

My son car is a GT I do not think it matters thank you for the info
Reason I asked about engine and fender tag is was curious if it was a 383 GTS, keep in mind that 67 and 68 maybe 69 "numbers matching" only means the engine and trans were assembled at about the right lead time to the car build. They did not start stamping the vin on the eng and trans untill later years.

Is your convert blue and a former CA car but last sold in Kansas (IIRC) Craig's list?

Just courous I saw one on Craig's list 6 to 12 months ago and have been kicking myself ever since

According to my info, they made 947 273 4bbl. 4 speed GT's. both hardtop and convertible. If you look at the percentage of hardtops vs. convertibles, it's around 10:1. that would put the total of convertible GT 273 4bbl 4 speeds at under 100 units built. That's just a ballpark figure. Actual sales may be different.

The car was driven into my shop when I was 13 years old the guy that owned the car changed his mind on getting it painted 33 years later my son at 13 buy the car for 350.oo

full restoration
That's great. My 67 convertible was my dad's and is complete and largely original if you need photos etc give me a shout.

FYI you can have the rear glass reused in a new curtain, otherwise the bottom of the glass will end up being straight across the bottom vs curved.

Half were "maid", the other half butler LOL
