Wondering if this is a situation of you get what you pay for...

I bought metro roof rail seals part number RR4001 A and B. Struggling at the moment to get them installed.
Starting at the top of the wing window working your way down towards the door you get to a small metal tab which looks like it would coordinate with an indentation in the rubber seal but they are several inches apart. Not having seem them installed in the first place I'm not quite sure how they are installed.

It also appears RR4001 A is for the passenger side and B is for the drivers side.

Couple questions
  • should the seal hold in place with a pinch fit or do I need a couple more hands
  • does anybody have pictures of the seal installed confirming right and left sides and overall installation.
  • are there better seals in the aftermarket for example, steel rubber? After searching here they seem to have gained a good reputation.
Thanks Again...Jim

Just to verify what you are trying to install, are you saying that the part number your trying to install on your 67 Barracuda is Metro 4001? If that is the case, that part number is for a 68 to 70 B-Body sedan / coupe. The 67 to 69 Barracudas would use part number RR 4001-D from Metro.

We have not really had an issue with customers complaining about the fit for the 67 to 72 A-Body roof rail seals. It is just an interference fit and there is a right and a left.
