Hi all.

As some of you know I do reverse engineering and custom designing of small parts, one of those parts is the interior rear quarter trim retainer.

There is a seller on E-Bay selling the same part. This seller is not me.

I bought one of his parts to compare to mine.

I'm not sure how he got the CAD or made the part but there are distinct differences between what I make and what he is selling.

For starters the surface that meets the interior panel looks to have been sanded, ground, or in some way cut. The cut is not parallel to the mounting surface on the body as it should be.

They are being sold as new but the one I got appeared to have been inserted into something at some point, scrape marks on the sides that would insert into the body panel, no screw marks on the inside though.

And there was black grease? In the nooks and crannies.

I don't mean to disparage the seller or his product, I just don't want any confusion between my part and his.

My parts are 3D printed and come with a semi-lifetime, no questions asked guarantee (if I have the capability to make them and you tell me one broke, I'll ship you a replacement)
