I have a problem with converting my 67 Valiant 2 Dr. Post rear window trim and seal.
I have installed clips to allow for stainless trim, I have read that the trim must come from a 68. Is this true? I thought 68 and up would work.
Problem #2 Gasket purchased from Steele Part# 70-282781 is wrong, does not have an inside lip to cover teeth that the headliner hooks to. I see this same seal on E-Bay for Valiant Post I think this is for cars with hardboard headliner.

Steele also sells a Part# 70-2358-81
This part fits:
1969- Plymouth: Valiant- 2dr & 4dr Sedans ONLY
1970-1971- Plymouth: Valiant- 4dr Sedans ONLY

Why won't this fit a 67 or 68?
This project is always 1/2 step forward and 2-1/2 back

Thanx,
Tom

68-73 valiant 2 and 4dr sedans. They will fit. Can you post the link?

Dart and Valiant rear glass is different, you have the wrong gasket.

It's actually 68-73 valiant sedans. It is also for 67 if swapping to the 68 & up trim

Here is a pic of how and where to put the clips

Hi, Do you know anyone that has 68 trim for a valiant 2 dr sedan. I have a 67 that I cannot find the rear window one year only clips for. I am considering converting it to a 68 seal trim and clips. Will this work? Bummer is I have all nice redone as 67 trim but can find the right clips for it. Thanks!
