My 69’ Barracuda has a fixed rear seat. I’ve learned that the fold down seat was optional that year. Is a 67 or 68 fold down seat interchangeable? I’m considering one to swap out for my fixed seat.

Yes, '69 was optional. If your floorpan has the welded-in nuts to accept the hinge bolts (and shims), I would think you're OK.
Thanks for that. Do you by any chance know if the 69 side trim panels will work? The 67 panels have a large opening to fit the hinges.
I don’t know if the welded in nuts and shims are the same or different from the fixed seat. Any feedback is welcome.

I did this on my 69. All the parts from an another fold down seat will swap right into your existing seat. There is a wind up type spring that usually breaks on these. You can substitute an extension spring by drilling another hole. There is also one more piece of trim on the bottom of the seat back you need.
