Can anyone tell me or show a picture of where the clock adjustment cable is supposed to be mounted through the dash on a 68 Barracuda? The installation instructions aren't too specific as to where it goes. Also, what kind of mounting nut is used as my kit was missing that one important piece!

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Anybody?

Someone out there in A-body land must have one of these installed, or at least seen one properly installed in a car.

It points down through a hole near the fuse box. Maybe the factory drilled a hole especially for this but I didn't. I used a hole that is there in every dash.
I then wondered why there never was a bezel like MAP LIGHT and TOP that reads CLOCK ADJ.
Then I took the clock out and sold it at a lose. It was about the dumbest purchase I've ever made.
I set the battery cable off while the car is parked for weeks at a time so the clock was never right. Adjusting the time also adjust the clock making it run a little faster or a little slower depending on which way its turned. This allows a daily driver to calibrate the clock so it does stay close to accurate. I figured I would eventually kill the clock adjusting on it.

Thanks for the info. Now to find a jamb nut with the right size threads!

I purchased the clock for a decent price and it keeps accurate time. Had it hooked up for a couple weeks and it was still dead on with my cell phone. I was amazed.

I debated on what to put in the hole. Everyone wants too much for an original tach, which isn't accurate anyways. Especially when you can get an Autometer mini tach for a fraction of the original. And looking at a vacuum gauge "performance indicator" doesn't do much good either. If you can't figure out vacuum goes down when you mash on the pedal you should probably just park your car.

Anyways, I digress. Have a good one.
