So, soon as we thaw out here in NYC, I'm gonna finally attempt installing/replacing the instrument panel and radio bulbs in the '68 Formula 340-S.
I have been a little intimidated and have been putting it off.
Is this a "big" project?…Don't have any idea how to disassemble the dash to get to the bulb sockets, etc.
Any tips or instructions would be greatly appreciated.

Also, when dash lights are on (highest setting) they still seem "dull" not bright.
There is also a slight power fluctuation I notice when car is idling or in park.

Thanks,
Rick

Before I can say for sure I would need to know if any other electrical changes with engine rpm.
Odds are the entire electrical system is suffering from low voltage, its common and correctable. Afterwards the dash lighting might still be less than bright as it should or could be even though the radio and shift indicator lights burn bright.
Keep in mind that of the 8 bulbs in the inst' panel, only 4 are illumination. Other 4 are indicator bulbs.

The bulbs can be reached without removing the dash cluster and is not a big deal. The radio may have to come out or at least be dropped down in order to change that one. I'm sure some here will chime in.
