68 Barracuda dash rechrome

Do not (I repeat DO NOT) use Layson's or Auto Instruments unless you absolutely have to. I had dash parts rechromed and repainted by both, and it was a nightmare. The Layson's piece was decent quality, but it took forever to get it (with tons of B.S. and runaround). The Auto Instruments part was useless; the paint was about 4 shades off from the factory woodgrain color. Plus, they lost the part, then couldn't find it in their system, etc. -- the usual stalling tactics you get from automotive aftermarket vendors.
 
Thank you. I found "show quality" original complete dash bezels on eBay for $401.99. Good buy? I still have mine, without cracks, to sell to recoup some of my money.
