Hey guys

Im looking for a K-Frame for a 1968 Plymouth Barracuda so i can put my 440 in...any sales or suggestions let me know please thank you

Do you not want to use the one in your car (assuming that you have one in there now) and use Schumacher mounts for the 440?

no the K-Frame in the car is RUINED completly...the guy we bought the car from welded the engine mounts to the K-Frame so we need a whole new/used K-Frame

although im more than likely keeping my 318 and put it in there but i think i just found one for $100 but he is probably to far away

Be patient and search all of the Mopar "For Sale" boards. I think I saw one or two on Moparts (but check the July listings. That's where I think I saw them in your neck of the woods.

I have never paid more than $20 at the self serve yards here in California for a k-member (it's actually a flaw in their pricing, but they're all the same). I don't know what the yards near you are like, but it's worth a look. Any 68-76 V8 a-body can provide you with a k-member that's easy to use for your application.

You will need a k-member from a 67-72 either the slant six or the V8, 73 + up use the spool mounts,

cmon guys, give the correct information, and if you don't have the correct information, just don't answer the want ads.....

......i think the K members listed by Lusk will bolt up to the frame BUT when using a 73 or later K member then he would need to specify that info to Mike and Mary when ordering the mounts as like you have stated 73 and later engines did require the spool type mount ??

He WON'T want the 67 due to the hard to find and expensive idler arm. The reason the mount and other information was not given was that I was not prepared to write a book about k-members. He also won't want a slant k-member unless he wants to spend too much on conversion mounts.....

well its a '68 barracuda that we are putting a 318 in so i can go to any U-PULL-IT and check..but thatnks guys any more tips i should know on anything let me know

Take your time when pulling the k-member. Loosen the t-bar adjusters all the way. The k-member can actually be pulled with the engine in place, but supported under the oil pan. I've done lots over the last twenty years.

Well, then you're going to need mounts, too. Another great reason to go with a 73-76 k-member and mounts..............
