68 Barracuda rocker spear removal/installation

Anybody have instructions on the proper way to remove the spears from a 68 Barracuda?
To be precise, I am wondering if they slide on from the front until they meet the gill moulding, or do they snap over the plastic clips?
All of these pieces are expensive to replace, so I want to be sure I do it right and not mess anything up. I have plenty of mechanical experience, but zero body experience.

Snap. Plastic clips. Find where each clip is by sliding something very thin under the trim. Next to it pop it up from lower side up. Plastic trim putty knife works. Or metal with tape to protect paint.

Don't need to pop both sides at once. If you pop all the bottoms the top will just lift off.

It will slide but you could scratch paint or bend it.

Make sure someone didn't make a repair by putting a screw through it somewhere.
