My 68 Cuda came with a bench seat , I have replacement 68 Barracuda bucket seats and a console to replace it .
My question is , whats the correct measurement to place the seats .
How far from the sill plate ?
How far from the console ?
Is the driver seat centered with the steering wheel ?
Any measurements from you guys is appreciated .
Any pictures of the floor boards for bucket seats ?
The bench seat holes aren't even close , But I assume its the correct distance from the steering wheel / dash .
The Cuda is getting mini tubbed next week :)

Donnie, I am almost to the point of pulling the buckets from my '68 fastback 'Cuda. It will probably happen sometime next week. If you cannot wait that long, I might be able to pull at least one this weekend, pending available time. I will soon thereafter pull the console.

Let me know how soon you need some photos and measurements. If you can wait, keep bumping up your post so I can locate it for uploading some pix.

Ok , Sounds good . I'll wait for you .
Where can I get the reinforcement plates ?
I want to have the seat mounted before I install the 8 point roll bar

I got my reinforcement plates off a shop on ebay. I will see if I can find the link. They were like 30 bucks. ebay Item number: 330291642011

Donnie, I was able to quickly yank out the driver side bucket and take a couple of quick shots. I have to get back to work, but let me know if you need any specific measurements (the ones of the mounting holes you see in the pix are edge-to-edge, i.e. center-to-center).

All are looking in from the sill.

The first one shows the plates 4.5"x4.0"

The second shows the outboard mounting holes, front to back.

The third shows the same, from different angle.

The fourth shows the aft set of holes, inside at top, sill at bottom.

When converting from bench to buckets, just look for the small dimples on the floorpan, you can't miss them. That tells you where to drill the holes. No need for any measuring!

I found the dimples , A few spot welds were kinda tricky dimple looking .
Seats went in and I ordered the metal plates from ebay on the above link .
The car is out now being mini-tubbed .
Thanks for all the help again ........
Donnie
