I want to replace my original Dodge letters on my 68 Dart GT convertible (picture included) as part of my restoration.
Mine are individual block letters while everyone's re-pops are a written script hood emblem.
I see1966 charger re-pops uses the individual Dodge letters does anyone know if they are the same?
I'm sure my hood is original, when I stripped it down it had the same two original coats of paint on it like the rest of the car

Thanks

Well I stand corrected....

Looks like 68 GT had individual letters!
(Green)

(Red) script not GT

GTS got "GTS"

Can't say anything about the paint.

There are two D O D G E letters for 67 maybe 68 too, one for the trunk lid and one for the hood they are not interchangeable.

The pins are different as is the shape of the face of the letters. The trunk letters has a pointed peak on the face the hood is more flat.

I don't know if the challenger share the same pin configuration.

Check the parts books and see if the part numbers are the same 66 to 68

Thanks for shedding some lite on the possibly that there are actually two versions.
In 68.
I found laysons has the hood letters available for 67 A bodies so I'll go with that.

Perhaps someone will know the history on the two variations, was it a production year change or something else ?

One of the things you can do while looking is if they have a back side photo, compare the pins to yours.

The ones from the trunk in 67 the pins are in different places.

67 Dodge Dart original part numbers for the hood set is # 2785 202, 203, 204 and 205.

For the trunk:
"D"2784 164, "O"-#2784 163, "G"-#2784 165, "E"-#2784
