I have a 69 340 engine I was going to put in my 67 Barracuda but instead of building it I think I'm going to go to a stroker engine. I'm a body man don't do a lot of engine stuff. My son bought a stroker for his 80 camaro. No way in hell he's going past me. More cubes baby. This is a great start. Block has been decked and has a fresh hone now. Took pics you can see real good. Crank has been magged and freshly turned. New Clevite bearings (in box). It's a .030 engine with the sealed power 2332p pistons, they are not new but look good, your option to use them or go new. Has stock 340 rods. So the bottom end is all forged. Oil pan with windage tray. It has x heads that need to be gone through ( should have new hardened seats on exhaust and new valve guides). Valves are in good shape so my machinist/engine builder told me, so again your choice to use whats there or buy new. He said they didn't have much wear at all. I was going to have him do the guides and hardened seats but I decided not to put more money in this motor if I was going to sell it and go crate stroker. He still has the heads so no pics yet. Hopefully I get them tomorrow. It has roller rockers, don't know what kind. Cam and lifters should be replaced. No intake or carb. Look at the pics, I took plenty. What you see is what you get. Plus the x heads. Should make somebody a great motor for their 340 car. I just looked on ebay man what a bunch of junk they're trying to sell for a lot more money. Wow. Here go the pics

Located in upstate NY in the southern tier. Walton NY 13856. Pick up only.

So what is the VIN# on the oil pan rail? Also the assembly code on the front left where the head mates up?

VIN looks like 9B384002 and assembly code looks like EW540P2840091. The assembly code 3rd digit is very hard to read. Looks like a 5 but could be a 3 or maybe even a 6. Hope this helps.
