Was wondering, are the exhaust manifolds gaskets for a small block, the same for a 69 340 with the HP exhaust manifolds ? any recommendations Thanks

No, 273/318 gaskets are smaller ports than the 340/360 gaskets.

NO.. I lost that battle this Winter. Small blocks outer ports are rectangles, 340's are funky shaped...

If, by "small block", you mean the 318/273 engines (340 and 360 are small blocks, too); then no, the port sizes are different- smaller on the 273/318 factory heads.
And the manifolds didn't use gaskets (gaskets are for headers or as a patch for warped manifold surfaces), they bolt directly to the head. The 340 HP manifolds used a stamped metal heat shield on the driver's side. Be prepared for sticker shock...

Port size, as Toolman said.
Also the heat shield portion is unique to the 340 manifolds. They were obsolete for yrs if I remember right. I think you can buy them new now.
