I was at my Uncles today, and He was loading up to move to a new house. We came across the original manifolds off of a 69 GTS convert that He used to own years ago. I offered to buy them, and He said "F you", take them for FREE!:-D A simple wire brushing, and some graphite spray, then on to my Swinger! I need to find a heat shield, and heat riser parts. Are these still available?

The heat shield is available, but they're kinda steep at about $100.
Nice uncle you have there. Those look to be in great shape.

I do have a part listing for the heat riser valve kit, computer shows I should have one in stock, but would need to check to make sure.

Heat Riser Valve - 340/360 exhaust manifolds:
These New Chrysler exhaust heat riser valve kits are for 1972-73 340 and 360 RH exhaust manifolds. Kit includes the counter weight, shaft, vavle plate, anti-rattle spring, valve stop, thermostat (coil), 2 bushings and 2 seals. Instructions are included. Valve plate (butterfly) is 1-13/16". Arc welding of the valve plate is necessary. Installation also requries a lbs.-ft torque wrench.
TM-83947 Heat Riser Valve $ 98.95 kit

I also offer these parts as well.........

Exhaust Manifold Bolt Retainer
New Chrysler small-block exhaust pipe-to-manifold bolt retainer. This retainer is mounted between the bolt and exhaust flange. When the bolt is fully tightened the tab folds over to prevent the bolt from loosening. These retainers were used on cars starting after Dec 2nd, 1968 (1969 model year) to 1974 on small blocks only.
RS-404043 4 are required per car (1 per bolt) $1.95 each

Exhaust Manifold Studs:
New Chrysler manifold studs. Each stud is for use on all LA (273, 318, 340, 360) engines. Includes both 5/16" -18 and 5/16" - 24 stud ends.
IN-T532 All LA small blocks $3.50 each

Next time you go over to his house , please invite me!!

Great score! this onlt proves the best things in life can be free!!

The complete bolt & washer set for these manifolds is available as a kit for around $55 IIRC. I think Mancini's has them. Probably available on eBay too.

Thanks for the info guys.
Rick, would that heat riser kit be the same as the one on '69 coded manifolds? Anyone else know?

Good question.....you might want to check the diameter of the exhaust flange on the RH manifold to see if it measures 1 13/16". The only other difference I can think of right now might be the shape of the counterweight, which might be different due to the difference in years.

Nice Pair!!HaHa.Those look in mighty fine shape,he must have taken them off a loooong time ago??Usually there all badly pitted around these parts. If you can find them.Wrench time!!:-D

Yes, I can finally throw out those worthless Hooker headers. They were my biggest waste of money ever in all my compulsive buys.Looking back, I should have went with the TTI's.:angry7:
