69 Barracuda Vinyl Roof Trim

Looking to install the small 3/4 vinyl roof on a 69 fastback. I have the trim pieces but am not sure how the trim is fastened or where to locate the fasteners or clips. I have checked the local on line sources and at Carlisle and was told they are a welded stud?? Anyone ever done one of these from scratch and might know where to locate the fasteners? Thanks for info.

If this is the type of vinyl top you are talking about it use's a special tapered head machine screw I may have some but I'm not sure of the condition. I may some out of stainless steel and some little funny plastic washers to go under them to seal the screw to the roof of the car

That's the roof. Do the screws go through the steel roof? And yes I'm hunting for sources with the little plastic washer thingy.
