So was about to do this conversion, but from what I have been reading and been told this is not possible. PirateJack (which sells MBM) says it will not fit. Still waiting to hear back from Doctordiff. Has anyone ever successfully done a front disc conversion with the same setup? Worst case I will just go powerbrakes.
Thanks

Are you talking about going to a 4 piston KH set up or a 73 and later single piston caliper?
With the KH there will be no issue....

I want to go with whatever will work! THe 73 and later will require me to piece it together. What is the KH kit? Sorry I am fairly new to all this!

KH is the Kelsey Hayes disc brake set up that was OEM on the A-bodies up to 1972.
Probably cheaper to go with the 1973 and later single piston disc brakes, assuming that they will clear the 14" wheels.

Ah ok, so this is OEM, not a kit I could buy. I am still searching to see what will work, I am hoping someone will have upgraded to Disc that run 14" Crager SS rims. I think the MBM kit will fit but the calipers may need to be shaved down a bit.......The search continues!

Let me lnow what you find out. I have a beautiful set of 14” on 4” cragers with drum brakes and no booster. To say the least. I dont want to buy different rims so my options are limited.

I have SSBC disc brakes on the front of my 66 Dart GT. I have small bolt pattern Cragar SS's on it. They just clear the metal caliper brake lines. The part number is A153. They are not cheap.
I have to redo the front metal lines from the master cylinder because whoever ran them really butchered them up.

Last year I did a front brake disc conversion using a kit from Summit, SSB-153. Can be small or large bolt pattern. The kit had everything that was required to do the conversion including the master cylinder. It also works with my 14" SS cragers. Was fairly straight forward and easy to install.

Last year I did a front disc brake conversion on my 68 Dart using a SSB-153 kit from Summit. You can use either small bolt or large bolt depending on your rims and I stayed SB with my 14" SS cragars to be the same as the rear. The kit had everything that was required to do the conversion including the master cylinder. It was fairly simple and easy to install.
