69 Dart Steering Column collar missing?

I just got a 69 Dart and you can pull the steering wheel/column shaft about 1.5” towards you sitting in the drivers seat. I noticed the coupler didn’t have the rubber gasket and cap with the tabs so I ordered the rebuild kit and yanked the column. But looking at it now, I think the shaft is missing the collar I highlighted in the pic? Or is there another way the shaft locks into place so you can’t pull it?The service manual is the 67 Dart and showing what looks like a longer shaft too. Any help would be appreciated.

Ended up finding this awesome collar/bearing from Bergman if anyone else ends up having the same issue. Thinking this will do the trick.

It is actually just a coupler rebuild kit

I also ordered this cage because the cap is a pain to get on tight but the cage did not clear my header. Most likely going to push the orange rubber piece down in the coupler and silicone it in place.
