I'd talked about this car here years ago, and it was back burnered.
Bought by accident, its 1 of 25 built, and 1 of 2, possibly 3 known to exist, V1H Floral Top cars. (per the ModTop registry). It has the matching numbers 225 and 904. After sitting 15yrs, new fuel tank, carb cleaning, tuneup parts, and wheel cylinders rebuild made it mobile. Not a driver yet, but mobile.
Car is complete, but needs full resto. Solid rockers, subframes and torsion crossmember. Needs trunk floor, rear window channels. Floors nice except typical hole under accelerator. Has poorly reskinned right quarter and bad repaint, probably from an accident decades ago. Pictures show empty interior, but seats were removed so I could clean and inspect floors. I have the seats, and a set of really nice door panels but, they aren't the correct ones. I will work on adding more photos. Only missing pieces are the carb and intake, which aren't the originals.
I'm a big block guy, and am into nice drivers and weekends at the track. Definitely not rare, slow, pampered ones. This car was going to become a carbureted 5.7Hemi street/strip car- until I decoded the fender tag!! So I was about to dive in, finally, but now am losing job and workspace.
This rare car, restored, has INCREDIBLE profit potential, especially for someone else who can do the whole build, or the majority of it. Hate to put it that way, but...being real. That was the plan, but life happened. So, it must go. $15,500 OBO. I'm in Vancouver, WA. Am packing up shop, but ill get more pics and answer any requests/questions asap.
