What exhaust manifolds did the 69 Dart/Barracuda 440 cars come with from the factory? Is there a Mopar PN for them?

Thanks!

As far as I know they didn't come from the factory with the 440's (383's yes) and I think they were Mr Norm cars but they were mostly Hemi's with fenderwell headers.

The '69 M-code 440 Barracuda and Dart (yes, they were factory) exhaust manifold numbers are:

Left- part number 3462016 cast number 3462017
Right - part number 2863897 cast number 2863900

Well I'll be go to hell, learned something new today courtesy of 2 shelbys.

If anybody's has any other questions about M-code Cuda's or Darts I should be able to help you. Over the years I've owned two '68 383 Darts, one M-code Dart and a M-code Cuda.

What was the difference between the 440 exhaust manifolds and the 383?

Here's the heart of the question...

Weren't the 440 cars rated at 375 horse the same as the B body 440HP?
If the A body 383 was de-rated due to restrictive exhaust manifolds, why did Chrysler not use the 440 manifolds, which do not appear to be restrictive, on the 383 cars?

thanks

Both the 383 and 440 manifolds bend around the steering column somewhat like the small block manifolds do but because the 440's block is taller that bend needed to be relocated although I have seen 383 manifolds on 440's in a-bodies and they seem to fit. Also the drivers side manifold changed from '67 - '69 so Mopar gave them different HP ratings for each year but I'd have to go back and look to see what that rating was.

1967 383 was rated at 280HP, 1968 383 was rated at 300HP and the 1969 383 was rated at 330HP

The 440 and 383 cars did have the same right side exhaust manifold, only the left was different for the reason mcodecuda stated.
