Well, I have a leaking axle seal in my '65 Dart, and I've tried a puller, I've pulled the cover and tried prying between the cross shaft and the axle itself, and the axle just won't budge. I pulled the four nuts from the retainer...any ideas???
7 1/4 axle stuck--any ideas?

Flip the drum over so the bolt flange is on the inside, put the lugs on a few turns; use it as a slide puller.

Isn't there a clip on the end of the axle within the diff.that needs to be removed ?

On the ones that do you have to take the pin out for the spider gears and push the axle in, then remove the C clip and pull the axle out. (Just FYI for the original poster)
I am seeing conflicting information so hold for a min.
Ok so apparently the 7.25 does have the Cclip retainers
