Weren't the original ones plastic? I'm pretty sure in 73 they changed them to plastic

They are but can you replace them with metal ones? Not sure the do's and don'ts of what will work and wont.

Same here I do have a set outa a 74 dart sport I'm keeping I'll see if the mounting holes are in the same place if so then I would think the would interchange
