Hello,
This seems like a long shot, but figured I should give it a go. This isnt an A-body, but I was hoping someone here would be able to help. Back in the early 90's a friend picked up a bronze 70 Charger with a 383 out of Western PA. My dad bought this charger from our friend and has been the one we have been restoring for the past few years. We got the fender tag with it, and thus the VIN. We have the title for that VIN. However I was hoping to locate the dash board that still may have the VIN plate attached.
I believe our friend got it out of Mercer PA (just outside of Pittsburgh). It was a 20,000 mile car that was Brozne, the checkered black bucket seats with I believe a column shift. A man recently obtained it or fixed it and his son took it out for a ride. He ended up hitting a pole in the left front. Some parts were sold off of it, the main one being the dash board. I do not know if the man was the owner of the shop in Mercer PA but thats where my friend got the charger from. The VIN starts off with XP29 (charger 500) but dont have the rest of the VIN on hand. If this story sounds familiar I can get the rest of the VIN to compare. Any help in finding this would be greatly appreciated as we are about to install the windshield and now would be the time to get the dash VIN plate in place.
Thank you
