Well my grill on my 70 Dart looks like crap and I read enough of these articles on Fabo about how everyone else restored it so I figured I'd give it a try. . I went out and bought Krylon Dull metallic 1403 like all of the other moparts said to us and yep it's a perfect match.
After I light sand and clean up. I went to town with frog tape.. I'm doing the dull metallic first then will go for the satin black 1971 look with the dark fins and bezels. Hers some pics so far..

I did a 1972 Dart Grille. It's a lot of work. You're doing awesome so far.

looking good! I did the same thing only I laid down the matte Black first then masked and shot the Silver.

You want some nice matte black? Stop into a John Deere dealer. The best in a can.

Tell me about the headlights in the above photo. Do you like them?

Yet to be determined as I have not had the car out on the road since I just finished it and it's winter here with all the nasty salt, sand and wet dirt on the roads here. They seem to work, they require a separate converter box which plugs into the stock harness, which I mounted behind the turn signals.

1970 Dart Grill restore part 2

After taking off all the frog tape from painting the Dull matalic silver, I moved on to prepping and taping for the flat black. ...2 hours later it's sprayed and waiting to dry

That grille came out very nice. I used Krylon on a number of my parts.
Krylon is absolutely best dries to the touch in 15 minutes.... Rust-Oleum is garbage takes 3 hours to dry and never really takes a good hold of the metal
