I've tried replacing the cam(twice), first ones wires were too long, second one won't stay locked in place. Yes, I made sure the spring plate inside the swith was installed. (Read: frustrated with fool thing). At this point I'd like to replace the whole thing with new but all I'm seeing offered is for 73 - 76. Some places list it as being for a 70 also under the same number. Anyone out there use one of the 73 up models on your 70 and if so, did it work?
I've seen some at the swaps for about $45-$50 complete but didn't write down the vendors company as it wasn't a problem then. I do recall they were Mopar repop vendor and not a "auto zone" type.
