There are 2 styles. Later styles the seal is installed from the front and can be replaced without taking the cover off. The early styles the seal is put in from the back and the cover must be removed if it needs to be replaced.

I have one as well so put me next in line. The later style with the seal installed from the front. OEM unit with a 1978 date code. Casting #3769966.
