71 Demon Seats?

Hi, I am restoring my 71 340 Demon and need seats...Guy before me put 73 seats and a fold down back seat??? and yes I know the fold down seat is not functional. He welded brackets in and had it set it in the down position...Anyway two questions...

First, I located a 72 demon back seat and need to know if it is the same frame just a different pattern or is the foam also different???

Second, are E-body front seats the same frames just different seat tracks or are they totally different??

Also, I have a very nice set of 73 front seats that I would be willing to trade plus $ for a set of 71 seats...They are white but, would need a recover...

Back seat should be the same as far as I know from 1970-1976 non fold down rear seat didnt change much if any at all. I am not quite shure about the front seats I belive they are considered A BODY only E body seats are diffrent though I think 70-71 A bodys had the plastic back like B and E cars while after 71 they went to full viynl

I sold a set of 70 Duster bucket seats and was told they were the same as E body seats buy some members here. The rear seat is the same for 71/72 Demons.

First question: Are you planning to use front bucket seats or a bench?


The 1970 - 71 Abody buckets are different from the later 1972 and up Abody buckets.

Same with the 1970-71 front bench seats -


Also, take a look at the 1970 headrest - different from 1971 and later year headrests.
