Hi All,
Was wondering, did 71 Dodge Demon 340's come with Hurst pistol grips as an option. My car only has a white ball. Have read some articles with pics of the pistol grip.
Cheers,
Glenn.

Nope. No pistol grips for the A-bodies, not even as an option.

You can install one, but it's not factory. I like the '71-74 B-body non-console pistol grips for non-console A-bodies.

100% agreed, i might add that you would need a boot for a '70 B-Body to go with the handle.
That year only has a rectangular opening for the shift handle and the A-Body is always round.

Glen Congrats on your Demon being in Hemmings Muscle Machine!

Not anymore!!! Brewer's is making an A-body boot that takes a pistol grip! Might have to get one of these. I have the B-body boot but it uses the B body trim ring and it's shorter than an A-body trim ring, only 3 holes work for the retaining screws.

Balls are best. (EDIT, oops; IMO, balls are best)
They provide a multitude of different grips, for different times and different situations.
With the factory A-body stick being waaaay over there, this becomes a handy thing.
But the PGs look nice.......that is for sure.
