Well finally got my junk painted. Just a cheap satin black garage paint job until I can afford a real one.

Looks sinister! What paint did you end up using? Spray it yourself I am assuming?

Thanks boys. Ya it's actually plasti dip! Haha turned out good enough, I was going for that sinister look. Cost me 200 bucks , can't complain.

No idea yet. Just got it out the other day. Closet track is 3 hrs away. Here in Canada weather isn't good enough yet.

Looks great! I'm thinking of Plasti-Dipping my Mirada, but my only concern is the jams... that if I Plasti-Dip the jams too, that it might tear and start peeling off in those areas due to movement or potential contact with the door/hood/etc. Did you do your jams? What do you think? If I do plasti-dip, it would be black, and the car is now white, so tears would look horrible.

Zebra Mirada would be cool.

What size did you tap and what size plug did you use on your water pump where you eliminated the heater hose?

And do you have a pic of how you mounted your coil? I have to get mine off the intake this year since my Indy intake has no provision for it and I'd like to see how you did yours...sans picture effects so I can actually see please :)

one of them i use a 3/4 rubber freeze plug....just tighten it up.

the other I just bolt a 7/16 NF into it without tapping the hole...and put some rtv under the head of the bolt..

FWIW my coil is mounted wires up on the passengers side fender well. MSD tech guy told me the coil will be happier mounted that way.... no idea, never asked it.

Coil is just mounted to the firewall with the bracket that comes with the coil. As far as the heater hose delete, My dad was visiting me and did that part. On the waterpump side I believe he got some ruber hose and tightened a bolt into it. Making the hose expand tight if that makes sense. It works no leaks.
