I have a 71 dart swinger that had an original bench seat. It has since been removed and now has a set of "Procar" buckets.

I came across some 72-74 charger bucket seats with tracks (please see image), here are my questions:

-Will the seat and brackets fit my 71, granted I of course change the seat cover to match my year and model and drill new holes.
-Are "A" body and "B" body seat frames the same/interchangeable?
-Based on the two seats and images, do you guys think they have the same seat foam design. If I dont need to swap them that woul be great to save a few dollars.

Any input woul greatly be appreciated, need solid clarification before I go out and purchase seat covers granted its even feasible.
Thanks!

Seat frames probably are, tracks definitely are not.

Cross reference foam padding PNs from 72-74 B body and see if that PN interchanges with 70-71 A body. That will give you a better idea.

I sold those '71 seats to a member here close to two years ago.

1971 bucket seat frames have two versions, early & late. Both have an inner spring in the seat backs.

1972 up seats have more foam & no more spring basket in the seat backs.

From 1970 through at least 1974, A, B & E body seat frames are the same inside the same time period, the tracks, foam & upholstery are different though.

I got a pair of 76 charger seats from junkyard,l put 71 dart seat covers over the foam.you can't even tell they were 76 charger seats.
