This car is a great deal, it does have some issues but it’s a turn key
running and driving rare and real 340 4 speed Demon 340 1 of about 1660 made. It is a
original Ca car with the original blue and yellow plates. I work on it when
I get a chance here and there.
Im gonna start with the good I bought this car as a project in FEB to drive
this spring and summer ,and have done a Ton of work to it and I just need to
unload because I am moving and need the least head aches as possible. I have
three other car projects but this one needs to go.
the GOOD
engine is a 340 but not original to the car, has a steel crank with forged
pistons, repro 340 cam, lD340 intake with a Edelbrock 600 carburetor, engine
has about 10k miles.
New reproduction high flow 68 to 70 exhaust manifolds with Accurate exhaust
head pipes
trans shifts good new Ram clutch disc, pressure plate and through out
bearing, also roller pilot bearing with 5 miles on it yes 5 miles. stock
Hurst shifter
Brakes work great, rear shoes and drums very low milage, disc in front a
factory option
Interior is not bad at all, new door panels and arm rests factory buckets
another factory option ,rear seat in good shape
New Bf goodrich tires with 5 miles, new "Wheel Vintiques" brand rims rears
are 15 by 7"
the car has a slew of somewhat rare factory options, front disc brakes,
hood pins, dual sport mirrors, map lite, inside hood release, bucket seats.
has heavy duty 8 3/4 diff with 3.91 gear sure grip positraction
NEW Battery
the BAD,
fender tag is missing at this time
Im working on the electrical, headlights don’t work, gas gauge and other
things related, Charging system is fine and turn signals do work.
Heater disconnected, heater linkage disconnected but I have everything to
repair that
Has a exhaust leak drivers side manifold to head pipe
dents in roof like a kid or a dog was on it
Car is very presentable but does have some rust in the trunk and bubbles in
the lower 1/4s, a little in the drivers floor pan, its 41 years old and sat
for a long time, they do make reproduction parts to fix those issues
As stated I have a ton of work and money in the car, its not a bad car at
all but all in all it’s a fixer upper that’s drivable, my loss your gain.
