Trying to help nephew with his car, steering column has 4 connectors on it,1 is ignition switch,2 is turn signal wiring 3 is for lighted key switch(these i have hooked to proper connectors in wiring harness, but I still have 1 connector(voilet,tan,green-in flat white plastic connetor)where does it go? It is wired in with turn signal switch from what I could see.

Hazard lamps would be my best guess. Did 2 from the column go side by side in 1 of the cars harness ? I forget.

I have the factory manual for a 71, am looking but new to mopar. I am seeing a speed control that is a vacuum activated control, turned on and off by rotating the turn signal lever. So far no colors are matching up, but honestly I'm not that familiar with this manual and it doesn't call out Duster as a model. I'll let you know what I find, nice of you to help the nephew.

It looks like it could be your cornering lights, maybe check the order of the wires/color in this plug?

Maybe it's not "if so equipped"?
I think you are right about cornering lights, his car does have the fender mounted turn sinal indicators(possible the same) I will look better at bulkhead connector insde car and maybe trace wiring back, and the instrument panel also. Will keep you posted on what I find

Ok, well I don't know. My duster has never seen the road since I've owned it. Beings that the schematic lists the imperial and Chrysler, maybe it's the Imperial that had this option. If that were the case, maybe there's no other plug to come into the plug/wires that come out of the steering column. I dunno.
