I'm putting back together my 727 and realized there was no spring for the accumulator when I took it apart. can I put it back in like that or should I get blocker rod? also was wondering I put TF2 shift kit in the valve body and is there a specific measurement for the throttle pressure stop screw or should I just use FSM one?

The accumulator spring is not necessary.

There is specific instructions in the TF2 for the spring adjustment. I don't have any instructions handy to tell you what it is.

You can put it back in with no spring or blocker rod. Having a floating accumulator piston firms up the second gear shift more than using the spring. But using a blocker rod (especially with a shift kitted valve body, or any type of manual valve body) is what I suggest.

Ever seen a blocker rod go through the section that covers the accumulator bore?
I have.

A small section of pipe won’t.

I've never seen a need to even eliminate the spring. You can make them put you in the back seat every shift leaving the spring in.

U can also put a spring in between the case and the acc like what the 440-6 and hemi’s had. Kim
