I am now the owner of a 360/727 converter that the previous owner said it was a 2100 stall converter for a externally balanced 360. The weight has been removed. All the other parts I bought from him was just as he said. Are they any way to check the converter to make sure this is correct?

Thanks for the help

A 360 converter needs the weight on it since it's externally balanced. If you look at the face of the converter there will be four mounting brackets for the flexplate bolts. That's all there will be attached to it since the weight has been removed. Also the stall speed may be stamped into the converter, or a sticker on it (which usually falls off). If not there is no way of being sure of the stall speed until it's installed.

I wasn't sure if you wanted to verify the weight is actually missing, or the stall speed.

You can use a neutral balance converter with a balanced flexplate
