727 Dipstick

Does anybody know the length of the dipstick and dipstick tube on a mid 70's 727 transmission? I'm trying to make sure it's got enough but the reading seems like it has way too much. I know it went down when I changed the trans lines 2 days ago. Now I'm wondering if the dipstick is the correct one?

hey hows it goin just got back from my shop the tube measures 17.5 inches not including whats in the casing and the dip stick itself measures 18 inches even

One more reason? Do you think you could measure from the tip of the dipstick to the "FULL" line? Pretty please? Whenever you get around to it is fine.

I am trying to replace my broken dipstick from the 727 on my slant 6 225...is that different than the ones I see advertised for V8 engines?
