727 in a Dart GT

Will all the center consol shift linkage stuff fit onto a small block 727?My 904 is dead and need to move into a stronger trans,but want to keep the GT consol shift set up.

yes it will all work you will have to get a shorter drive shaft

Only thing you need to be sure that the tail housing of the 727 has the lower mounting bracket holes. You can see them on the bottom of the tail housing here just in front of the rear mount

thanks for the pic.what make/model/years would I be looking for in the salvage yard with the lower mounting holes.

Ide rebuild the 904 up to standards for you engine and keep the weight lower myself nothing wring with a 904.
