Happy Thanksgiving day everyone. I did a full rebuild of my TF 727 and went by books and videos, and was very meticulous with reassembly. I will say the valve body was one of the harder things for me. I would rather rebuild the whole transmission over again then deal with the valve body.And btw I’ve taken valve body apart twice just to make sure it’s good. Also I did the “superior trans tf-tc kit” in heavy duty (increased line pressure) That has me, wondering if my issues are in the vb , but here are my issues.
1 With the car on jackstands, I can be in park and move it to reverse and I get immediate forward movement, now if I sit the tires on the ground, the Forward movement isn’t there I can rev the engine and it just kind of lugs down and not move at all in reverse.
2) it’s difficult to understand how the vehicle is shifting when on jackstands with no tires and no resistance , but attempted to listen and feel. When put into drive it does rotate the proper way and makes a what I think is a 1st to 2nd shift. . I don’t really know if it isor 1st to 2nd or a 2nd to third. The reason I don’t understand what gear it is, is I can downshift it into first and there’s good forward movement and then shift to second and no change as in no upshift (Like it’s still in first) but when upshifted to d it makes up shift but was that a 2nd or third up shift lol!!??
Front pressure port only reading (d) 80 psi
Middle port only readings where d 2 and 1 all 95-110 psi.
Rear port only reading was reverse gear with 220-240.
Has 9 quarts in it but I haven’t been able to run it but a few minutes because my engine doesn’t have a radiator yet. Some say it hasn’t run long enough, and yes, that’s correct but should I have these weird symptoms?
