47re is an electronic transmission that needs a computer and mostly lives behind cummins engines and v-10's. what you need if you don't want a computer is a 46 RH transmission
You'll need a bellhousing adapter plate. No A518/618/46RH/47RH will bolt directly to a B engine. The main case is different, so no, you can't just bolt the OD rear section onto a A727-B trans.
Once you get bast the sticker shock, the Gear Vendors OD is probably the best option for a big block car.
Like Chief said, it can't be done. The rear section of the main cases are totally different. Only way to do it is the bell housing adapter to bolt a 518 to a BB.
Use a JW ultra bell and it will work. Yes the 47RE is electronic, thus the E in the 47RE. The 4 stands for the number of forward speeds, the 7 is an arbitrary torque rating and R stands for rear wheel drive. A 46RH is a hydraulic control trans although O/D and lockup are still controlled electrically with solenoids.
