Be careful when buying a used converter. My experience has not been good. You can't see what kind of trash was ran through them and is still lurking inside ready to take out your freshly built trans.
BTW: there are so many factors that affect stall speed it's nearly impossible to get one that stalls what you want when dealing with a high perf application unless it's built for the car. My suggestion is to buy new then you know your getting what you want and it's in good condition. Don't buy a cheap one either. The converter is probably the most important part of the drivetrain concerning performance.
