'73-'76 Duster Big Block 727 Tranny Crossmember

Having issues with my automatic transmission cross member/tranny mount (spool) in my '73 Duster. I have motor all bolted in (big block K-member with spool mounts) and I am about a 1/2" short of being able to put bolt in the spool mount in the cross member.

Any body got any pictures or ideas as to why I am that far off??

I have a picture, but no hosting site for the picture to be able to post it here so you can see the dilemma!! Working on that!!!

My guess, without pictures, would be motor mounts installed on incorrect side of the flanges on the block or transmission mount installed wrong direction.

You don't need a hosting site for pictures. Compress your pictures and post them. I believe there is a thread on here somewhere that tells how in the website help section.

Loosen up the 2 bolts that hold the mount to the trans. You got some slack to play with there....
