Use a 4 inch hole punch. you can put them in any hood. and the attachment holes are located from the under side with a bushing and a transfer punch You can put that scoop on any hood.

Do you happen to know anyone coming down to the Daytona Turkey Run (Florida) at the Speedway? I have 1-2 hoods (would need to check condition) and a hole saw that I believe cuts to 4 1/8".

Don't use a hole saw. Use a 4 inch die. You can buy just the die at Home Depot for sheet metal and use a bolt and nut or by the kits for all diameter holes with the hydraulic pump. For sheet metal you don't need the pump style. We cut holes in 1/4 inch thick steel with the pump. The hole is 4 inch not 4 1/8. Well I guess if you use a 4 inch hole saw it would end up being 4 1/8 to 4 1/4. Just did another demon hood last month. The water dams call for a 4 inch hole.

I bought this kit. You can just buy the die and punch and use a 3/4 nut and bolt. The ram is for thick steel.

To do the holes for the studs Its easy. Find the holes in the inner panel for the scoop. Then with no special tools needed , Find a 3/8 drive deep socket in your set that fits the holes. Put it in with the square 3/8 part against the hood.
Take anything 3/8 round and grind a point on it. Put it through the socket and tap lightly.
This will put small dents in the hood that can be seen from the top of the hood, Now center punch them down and drill with a drill a little bigger bit then the size of the scoop studs. I used 3/16
Lay the scoop on those holes , The other remaining studs will scratch/mark their location to be drilled. Center punch and drill those holes, Now drill all the holes 13/32 or 7/16 if that is all your set has, Your done ..
I have used a 3/8 bit and found the scoop to get stuck and hard to install and remove due to the threads on the studs getting caught on the hole edge.
I use this method for all scoop placement on every hood that has the inner holes for Snorkel and twin scoops. You don't need one of those paper patterns . They can end up screwing you up.
