Hello guys,
I search the thread but can't find anyone with my particular scenario. I'm trying to figure out what I can fit for tire wheel combo on my 73 duster. I wanted to run a 15x10. With a 275/60/15. The leafs have been relocated in about 3". I guess my biggest concern is back spacing and if the 275/60 will clear. Thanks.

My 1972 Duster does have spring moved inward....
275/60/15

I don't know about the 15"x10" part but I had 15"x8" rims with 275/60r15s on them on the back of a 73 340 Duster back in 1993 with no clearance issues

Without moving springs you can fit a 275/60/15 with a 15x8 wheel with a 4.5" BS. I moved my springs in and will be running 15x10 with a 5.5" BS and a 28x10.5 /15 slick

The backspace on the 15x7 Magnum 500 or Rallye lets them fit nicely with stock spring location.

Thanks for the responses everyone. I knew the 8s would work, I was thinking I would have to go with a 5.5 back spacing if I go 10". Has anyone fit anything larger than a 275/60 without modifying the wheel wells?

What are you running on the front ?
Oops. This was meant for someone else. Why can't you delete a post on this ?

Did you ever end up moving your springs to fit a bigger tire? Is that a costly thing to do?

Yes i did. I bought an offset spring hangar kit from Dr-diff, was $150.00 i think, and a new set of spring pads had to get those welded on the diffy housing. Moved the spring in 3/4 " flush with the inner wheel tub.

Very cool! Did you put the new tires on yet or do you still have the 275/60r15 on?
