73 Sport passenger mirror location ?'s

My car did not come with a passenger side mirror. It came with a single driver's side non-sport mirror. I want to add sport mirrors, but am unsure where to drill the mounting holes on the passenger side.

Can anyone measure for me how far back from the front of the door the first hole is drilled?

I can't give an exact measurement, BUT......I had the same problem on my Dart Sport.........When I installed the rallyes, I used the forward hole of the drivers side for a guide, and duplicated it on the passenger side.......I thought at the time they may have been offset, but I don't believe they're supposed to be....and there were no "sight" issues after the install.

My 74 Cuda was the same........no offset.......Same position on each door.

That's MY experience........Someone else may chime in.......hang on a bit for some more input........

I was about to duplicate the driver's side measurements as well, but then I thought I better ask, you never know!
