74 Duster wiring mods.

I'm getting my Duster back together in hopes of cruising this spring. Right now I'm working on the under dash harness.

So here's the question. I want to rid myself of the mess of wiring related to the seat belt interlocks. The module is screwed anyway and it seems like a P.I.T.A I am looking at the wiring diagram from my FSM and I don't see a problem with being able to figure this out. I am an Industrial Electrician, so interpreting these wiring diagrams is not a stretch for me.

Are there any pitfalls that anyone knows about that they can warn me about?
Any reason you see not to do this?

Easy. Unplug the big box and unplug the belt connectors. IF you have the starter interlock, read this

Essentially you look under the hood for the reset box, take the two "yellowish" wires and permanently splice them together. You can leave or eliminate the reset box

Well I removed all the wiring under the harness and permanently spliced the yellow and yellow/black wires. It really cleaned things up under there. Now I just hope it works when I try and start the car.
