i have a 74 duster with a 198ci slant6 i have been toold that this car is rare. All numbers match so i know it wasnt aftermarket.so im tryinjg to figure out if this is a rare car or not

It should have a 225 stock, they stop making the 198 sometime earlier. Theres no way that engine should be in there.
I'm right about 98% sure on that, fuzzy on when they stoped the 198, but it was sometime earlier.
The slant 6 is not a rare engine to have in the car. My '74 has it.
It was also the base engine. From there, you checked boxs for what other equipment you wanted other than the standard issue.
First out is a 318 2bbl and then a sure grip equiped rear. Larger than 7-1/4 must also be checked or you got a suregriped equiped 7-1/4 rear.
