74 Swinger 318 auto 2bbl

Hi All, does a 74 318 Beaker 2bbl auto. have a kickdown of passing gear?
There is a flat rod with a long slot hanging off the carb linkage, drivers side.
It just does nothing except exist.

Yes thats for the kickdown.Do not drive the car without it hooked up,you,ll fry your transmission quickly.
